Assistant Accountant required to assist in the production of monthly management accounts. produce monthly composites in accordance with manufacturer requirements. assist in the smooth running of all areas of the accounts department. You must be able to ensure that proper accounting methods are followed, including auditing and tax planning, Provide analytical, administrative, and financial information and advice to Departmental Managers and the General Manager, accurately and on time. Participate in discussions with Departmental Managers to provide them with financial advice and support that will help them to achieve their respective departmental objectives. Maintain official documentation and Company records according to mandatory legal requirements. Ensure that the manufacturer’s requirements, such as composites, are met within the structured timelines.
Balance accounts according to Company procedures, Account for payments to the Company according to established policies and procedures, Advise management of any discrepancies or other problems encountered or highlight any concerns/potential fraud. Assist the management with any queries regarding the management accounts as and when they arise, Identify opportunities to reduce costs and advise the appropriate personnel of these. Determine the reasons for budget variances, Monitor outstanding debtors and their agreed profile, ensure these are chased up and paid out within agreed debtor period.
Work with the Accountant to analyse current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for financial and operational improvement to others. You will use the Kerridge system. You will report to the Management Accountant and work with Financial Controller, Accounts Team, General Managers and Departmental Manager
