We are supporting our client in the search for an analytical, commercial and strategic Portfolio Manager, with solid leadership skills and previous experience within Property, to join them on a permanent basis.

Within this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies in order to optimise and govern the portfolio, as well as identifying new opportunities for strategic growth and improved return on investment across the client portfolio. You will be required to prove these strategies through clear and articulate management reporting.

You will also be responsible for analysing inputs to the strategic planning process, covering business requirements, supply/demand, trends, cost, lease, market data and forecasts. Following this you will make recommendations for acquisitions, dispositions, investment opportunities, strategies and asset reviews.

You will lead a portfolio team, consisting of planners and strategists, who will support you in the delivery of recommendations to the client. Ensuring consistency, providing guidance and working as a team towards the overall strategy and portfolio growth.

Due to the matrixed nature of the environment, you will be adaptable to change and possess first class communication skills, in order to work in synergy with a number of stakeholders and cross functional teams within the business, including the executive team.

To be successful in this position you will have/be:

A relevant degree, ideally within Accounting, Finance or Business. An additional advanced qualification or MBA would be desirable.
A proven manager, with solid experience in leading and developing a team in the past.
Experienced in portfolio strategy, planning and financial analysis is a must.
Passionate about portfolio strategy and strategic consulting.
First class communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with both internal and external clients as well as confident presentation skills.
Strong financial/analytical skills along with experience in financial modelling.
Proficient and practical commercial experience
The ability to interpret both qualitative and quantitative research data
A forward thinker, with an entrepreneurial flair.
You must also be able to own your own work, be passionate, proactive, responsive, flexible, resilient and adaptable to change.
