Red Eagle Recruitment (AGY) is looking to recruit an Experienced Financial Controller for our client in Herne Bay.

In this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating processes around the monthly management accounts, corporate reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, process improvements as well as overseeing the day to day functions within the finance department.

The role reports direct to the Finance Manager, with functional reporting to the EMEA Controllers. Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and principles is essential (US GAAP would be advantageous too).

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of monthly results, to strict deadlines

Month end journals preparation for both Sage and HFM

Preparing monthly balance sheet reviews and loading into ARMS

Maintain fixed asset register, along with the tagging of new assets (tangible and intangible)

Oversee AP and AR functions

Assist FP&A with forecasting and departmental reporting

VAT returns

Assist with compliance controls including SOX, cycle process testing

Forecast cash flow requirements

Provide operational support to the business

Support the EMEA Controller with ad-hoc projects Assist with the statutory and internal auditors

The successful candidate will be Qualified/Part Qualified (AAT, CIMA, and ACCA) with 5+ years proven work experience in finance & accounting. Solid knowledge of accounting concepts and principles is a must. The ability to work as part of a team and communicate at all levels is essential. Demonstrating strong analytical and problem solving skills.

SAGE, HFM, ARMS experience desirable
