Are you an outgoing individual, passionate about delivering a first class customer experience? We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Service Advisor to join our Bristol Autocentre on a part time ( 40hrs) basis.

Role Purpose

As a Service Advisor you will be the first point of contact for our customers whether this be face to face or via telephone. You will be responsible for dealing with customer queries in a timely manner, keeping all company records up to date, ensuring customer details are accurate and booking and scheduling customers in for service and repair work and MOTs. Service Advisors may be required to complete minor repairs such as wiper-blade, bulbs and battery replacements, full training will be given but experience in this area would be an advantage.

Whilst our Technicians are working on the customer's vehicle you will be building and maintaining customer relationships with regular communication. You will be responsible for updating our customers on completion times, repairs required; cost of repairs, additional works which may have been identified, and any other updates which will impact the customer.

As a Service Advisor you must also be able to act in a calm and professional manner in unplanned situations, promoting a positive attitude at all times, whilst following company procedure for handling customer complaints.

Once work on the customers vehicle are complete you will present the vehicle to the customer and carry out a professional handover, explaining the work which has been carried out on the vehicle and highlighting any non-essential advisory work which the customer will need to be aware of for the near future.

As a Halfords Autocentre employee, you must adhere to all Health and Safety, environmental and company policies and procedures, ensure the correct usage and wearing of protective clothing where appropriate, and be willing to carry out other duties not specified above as required to enable the effective running of the centre.

Tools for the Job;
• Proven experience working in a customer facing role
• Understanding of the after-sales environment
• A basic understanding of motor vehicles would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Flexible approach to working hours (some of our Autocentres are open 7 days a week)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport
• Ability to work as part of team
• IT literate
• Possess strong communication skills
• Current Valid Driving Licence - less than 6 points
